Eastern Michigan Football: Eagles to host golf outing

YPSILANTI – The Eastern Michigan football team will host its 11th Annual Golf Outing on Saturday, June 7 at Eagle Crest Golf Club in Ypsilanti.

“As a new coaching staff, we are excited to be part of the 11th Annual EMU Football Golf outing,” EMU coach Chris Creighton said in a release. “We hear that this has become a tremendous event, and we look forward to playing and socializing with you.”

Individual golfers interested in competing in the outing will pay $150, while former EMU football alumni – classes 2010 to 2014 – will receive a special rate of $100.

“This year’s tournament will help support our first annual senior leadership trip prior to the 2014 season,” Creighton added.

The Eagles will kick off the 2014 season against visiting Morgan State on Saturday, Aug. 30 at Rynearson Stadium in Ypsilanti.
