Phil Steele releases Preseason All-MAC accolades

College football savant Phil Steele released his annual Preseason All-Mid American Conference Teams today and the state of Michigan was well represented.

Central Michigan led the state with eight players making his top list, while Western Michigan added five standouts and Eastern Michigan had three.

At first glance, it’s a major shock to see Broncos’ safety Justin Currie on the First Team. He improved a lot last season but wasn’t First Team worthy. At the same time, it’s funny to see EMU’s Bronson Hill on the Third Team; however, the depth at running back in the conference is the reason he fell a team or two.
