Brandon Tiassum commits during Notre Dame visit

A three-star 2015 lineman was on campus for only six hours before he comitted to Notre Dame.

Brandon Tiassum visited South Bend on Sunday. After he was wowed by coaches and saw the school, he announced his commitment on Twitter just six hours into the visit.

The 6-foot-5, 285-pound defensive tackle from Indianapolis selected the Fighting Irish over offers from Boston College, Indiana, Louisville, Miami and Western Michigan, among others. Notre Dame defensive line coach Mike Elston is Tiassum’s primary recruiter, while first-year defensive coordinator Brian VanGorder also helps in with the prospect’s recruiting.

The Fighting Irish offered Tiassum on May 30.

Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly shared his excitement concerning the commitment by tweeting “#WeAreND” just five minutes after Tiassum made his intentions to play for the Fighting Irish public.
