Eastern Michigan offered one of the most sought after 2016 Michigan recruits this weekend.
The Eagles offered Desmong Fitzpatrick on Saturday. He is a 6-foot-1.5, 185-pound wide receiver who attends Farmington High and is ranked a three-star prospect by the major recruiting services. 247Sports has him as the fifth-best 2016 recruit in Michigan.
His offer sheet is as equally as impressive as his recruiting rankings. As he enters his junior season, he already holds offers from Cincinnati, Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, Ohio, Toledo and Wake Forest. Not to mention Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame and Ohio State are recruiting him heavily.

Eastern Michigan doesn’t stand a chance in the grand scheme of Fitzpatrick’s recruitment, so the extended offer is more of a consolation than anything else. He’s likely to play in the Big Ten, SEC or for Notre Dame. There’s no chance Eastern Michigan lands a recruit of his caliber.
